Discovering the Baobabs and Tsingy du Bemaraha
On arrival at Ivato international airport in Antananarivo, you will be met by your tour guide, who will take you to your hotel. LA VILETTE or similar.
After breakfast, you'll set off for Antsirabe, a charming town around 170 km south of the capital. You can visit workshops making handicrafts from raffia and zebu, as well as volcanic lakes. Overnight in Antsirabe COULEUR CAFE or similar.
After breakfast, you'll set off for Miandrivazo, a small town around 220 km west of Antsirabe. You'll pass through typical villages with traditional terracotta houses, rice fields and green hills. Overnight in Miandrivazo. PRINCESSE TSIRIBIHINA or similar.
After breakfast, you'll set off for Morondava, a coastal town around 240 km west of Miandrivazo. You'll pass through the famous "Allée des Baobabs", a natural attraction emblematic of Madagascar. Overnight in Morondava. LAGUNA BEACH or similar.
After breakfast, you'll set off for Bekopaka, the gateway to the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park. You’ll cross the Tsiribihina River by ferry and continue on to Bekopaka, a small town around 200 km north of Morondava. Overnight in Bekopaka. OLYMPE DE BEMARAHA or similar.
Spend the day visiting the Tsingy de Bemaraha, a geological site unique in the world for its sharp karst formations, canyons and caves. You can hiking, climbing, zip-lining and go caving to discover the beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage-listed national park. The park also boastsexceptional flora and fauna, all endemic to Madagascar. Overnight in Bekopaka. OLYMPE DE BEMARAHA or similar.
After breakfast, you’ll set off for the Kirindy reserve, a dry forest located around 50 km from Bekopaka. Here you can observe lemurs, reptiles, birds and nocturnal mammals such as fosa, civets and tenrecs. Overnight in Kirindy. RELAIS DES KIRINDY
In the morning, take a guided tour of the Kirindy reserve to see the diurnal animal species and explore the botanical diversity of the dry forest. You'll then return to Morondava to spend your last night on Madagascar's west coast. LAGUNA BEACH or similar.
After breakfast, you'll take a domestic flight from Morondava to Antananarivo with Tsaradia, the local airline. Back in the capital, you can enjoy your last evening shopping for souvenirs or exploring some of the sites you missed on your first day. VILLA VILETTE or similar.
Depending on the time of your return flight, you may have some free time for shopping or visit a few attractions before your transfer to the airport. Your guide will accompany you to check-in to help with departure formalities.
