Drive to Tsimanampetsotsa National Park accompanied by a local guide. Tsimanampetsotsa National Park is located in southwest Madagascar, covering an area of 430 km². The park is home to a wide variety of landscapes, from arid zones to dense forests and spectacular salt lakes. The park's main attractions are the Tsimanampetsotsa and Alakay lakes, both of which are salt lakes surrounded by interesting rock formations. Lake Tsimanampetsotsa is an important gathering point for flamingos, who come here to nest and feed. Other bird species include herons, egrets, terns and ducks. The park is also renowned for its endemic reptiles, including the Madagascar lizard, the giant Madagascar gecko and several species of chameleon. Return to Anakao in the middle of the day. Whale-watching excursion by boat off Anakao. Anakao is a small coastal town on Madagascar's southwest coast, famous for its white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. It's also an ideal starting point for a whale safari. From July to September, humpback whales migrate to Madagascar's warm waters to breed and nurse their young. During this period, it's possible to observe these enormous marine mammals from a boat on a whale safari.
During the safari, you'll have the opportunity to see the whales jumping out of the water, flapping their tails and communicating with underwater songs. Experienced local guides are familiar with the areas where whales are most likely to be spotted, and can provide detailed information on humpback whale behavior and lifestyle. Transfer by boat to Tuléar, and departure for Ranohira. On the way, we stop to visit the Zombitse Park. Zombitse Vohibasia National Park is a natural park in the Ihorombe region of south-west Madagascar. It covers an area of 36,800 hectares and is home to a wide variety of endemic plant and animal species. The park is famous for its baobab forests, imposing trees that are emblematic of Madagascar. There are also rare species of lemur, such as Verreaux's sifaka and Grandidier's microcebe, as well as colorful birds and reptiles. Visitors to the park can enjoy all this flora and fauna on forest walks. Local guides know the park well and can provide detailed information on the wildlife and medicinal plants used by local inhabitants. Excursion to the Isalo National Park to discover the impressive scenery. The tour of the natural pool and Namaza in Isalo National Park is a very popular excursion. Isalo National Park is renowned for its spectacular scenery of canyons, unique rock formations and crystal-clear natural pools. The hike usually begins with a walk through the mountains to a spectacular waterfall at the bottom of a canyon. Visitors can take a dip in the natural pools fed by the waterfall. This natural pool offers breathtaking views of the red cliffs and surrounding waterfalls. Drive to Fianarantsoa, stopping to visit the Anja reserve. This is a village nature reserve located in the town of Ambalavao in Madagascar. With a surface area of 30 hectares, it is managed by the local inhabitants of the Anja community. It is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, including lemurs, endemic birds, reptiles and medicinal plants. Visitors can take guided walks through the reserve to observe the lemurs at close quarters. After the visit, continue to Fianarantsoa, free time to rest or explore the town. Breakfast and early departure for an excursion to Ranomafana National Park, a nature reserve in the Haute Matsiatra region of central Madagascar. It covers an area of around 41,600 hectares and was created in 1991 to protect the biodiversity of this unique region. The park is home to a lush tropical rainforest that is the habitat of many of Madagascar's endemic animal species, including the Ranomafana golden lemur, the ruffed lemur and the bamboo lemur, as well as numerous birds, reptiles and amphibians. Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Antsirabe, offering magnificent natural scenery, including verdant mountains, rivers and waterfalls. Along the way, you'll also come across typical Malagasy villages with their traditional wooden houses, as well as rice terraces. After breakfast, drive to the capital Antananarivo, stopping off at Ambatolampy. Known for its aluminum cookware industry, this town boasts numerous workshops producing saucepans, pots, pans and other kitchen utensils.
